2. How did you get started making kombucha?
I started making kombucha in the never-ending endeavor to put good things in my family’s bellies. Friends and extended family caught on and soon I couldn’t keep up with the demand. On the suggestion of a friend, I began selling it at the West Homewood Farmer’s Market where much to my surprise it sold amazingly well. From there things have taken off and better kombucha came to be.
3. How was your experience with the Big Pitch?
My experience with the Big Pitch accelerated my knowledge of operating a small business exponentially. It also helped me make business connections that might have otherwise taken months or years.
4. How did CO.STARTERS prepare you for the future of your business?
CO.STARTERS laid a good foundation for my business and gave me the confidence to keep moving forward in planning and problem solving. The entire CO.STARTERS staff and facilitators were very helpful and encouraging.
5. What’s next for Better Kombucha?
The next step for better kombucha is to be available at local coffee shops, breweries and growler fill stations.
