A young and enthused entrepreneur is taking the phrase ‘Get Out There and Do It’ to a whole new level. Mrs. Markita Ware is a recent grad of Create Birmingham’s Co. Starters Cohort Program in Bessemer. Her cosmetics line Pretty by Markita Studios is already setting trends and building other’s confidence and self-esteem.
“I had a friend who was in a rough place in life at one time, and I was inspired to create a space where my friends and other women could come and feel confident about themselves. My brand is to help others go out into the world to feel and look confident no matter what.”
Markita first stepped out on faith as an entrepreneur back in 2018 with Pretty by Markita Cosmetics which was successful and now six years later will have an office space located at Bessemer’s Downtown Entrepreneurial Center. She credits her mother (Myrtle Jones) and husband (Frederick Ware) with being her biggest supporters throughout this full process of building a brand that’ll be to motivate positive self outlooks to other females.
Her products are semi-permanent with a primary focus on brow tinting and individual lash extensions for busy women on the go.
We asked Mrs. Ware what she would tell others who may want to start a business and she told us, “I’ve learned that success is a marathon not a sprint. Also remember to always trust God, stay consistent and never stop learning.”
