The Curb Makers Market in Trussville
NEW DETAILS ON THE 2023 CURB MAKERS MARKET, TAKING PLACE THIS FALL, WILL BE AVAILABLE IN LATE JULY.
Create Birmingham partners with The Curb to present a community arts event and makers market showcasing outstanding creative work in Trussville. In 2022, we hosted two markets, on Saturday, June 4 and Friday, November 25. In 2023, we will host one market during the holiday season. Set up for this market is styled differently than most markets. Rather than having individual vendor booths, selected participants will have their art and products curated and displayed by the owner of Curb Market, Ambre Amari. We will be accepting applications for the following:
Featured Artist: Receive a $500 grant to enable an artist, or community arts group, to perform during the market.
Up & Coming Maker/Artist: Receive a $150 grant to demonstrate your creative process (and sell goods) during the market.
Makers & Creatives: Receive a $100 grant and a Create Birmingham sponsorship to cover the costs of your booth so you’re able to keep all proceeds from your sales.
The 2022 application below is for reference only. No applications are currently being accepted. The 2023 application form and deadline will be available in July.
Special thanks to the Office of Jefferson County Commissioner Joe Knight for supporting this initiative.
