(6th-12th Grade) Go to hpl.pub/spookyphotos to be entered into our spooky photo contest. Close your eyes. Now imagine the last thing you would want to see when you open them back up. Now take a photo like that! Requirements: You can edit your photo, paint over it, burn it (safely!!) and scan it back in, whatever you need to do to make it haunt our dreams. Only 2 submissions per entrant. Make it strange but nothing we would seriously worry about the subject's health in. The winner will be announced on November 8th and the photos will be hung up in the Teen Studio throughout October and November.

(Preschool) Fire up your imagination and tinker around with friends for some Loose Parts Play after a fun-filled storytime!

(6th-12th Grade) The Teen Advisory Board is a volunteer group of 6th-12th graders who are dedicated to serving the Homewood Public Library. Want to make a difference and offer your voice in the library and in the community? Consider applying for TAB! Applications available online at homewoodpubliclibrary.org/tab-application.

(4th-12th Grade) Young artists are welcome to join us and Kane Bourgeois for art classes. Learn some basics, some tips and tricks, and have fun doing it! All supplies provided, but you are more than welcome to bring any sketchbook or drawing supplies you may use, or a digital drawing interface. Register online at homewoodpubliclibrary.org.

(0-18 Months) Babies and caregivers are welcome to a lap sit storytime with Miss Cristina filled with early literacy tips, baby-friendly songs, and bubbles.

(4th-12th Grade) An anime, manga, comic book, and fandom themed convention! Come in your cosplay and enter our cosplay contest and win great prizes. Play video games competitively. Pick up some free art in our artists’ alley made by local teens. Buy some comics or merch from our vendor. Enjoy Japanese snacks and sing anime karaoke. This is a free event, no ticket required! No Registration Required. Cosplay contest entries must be in by 3:15pm. Winners will be chosen by 3:45pm.

Join us as Sid Burgess and Julie Stewart present story time for adults, which features classic short stories that captivate as well as entertain. The stories, written by notable authors, are read aloud. No registration is required, so drop by for some nostalgic fun.

(6th-12th Grade) This class is for those more experienced in video game design. This program is a series that will build off each lesson. If you can no longer attend these sessions please let us know as soon as possible so we can open that spot up to the next interested teen.
