The UAB Gospel Choir is a music performance class open to students of all majors. It performs traditional and contemporary American Gospel Music tours throughout the United States and abroad, and its acclaimed productions offer students one-of-a kind performance opportunities One (1) credit hour is earned for participating in this ensemble and may be repeated for credit.

Numerous videos of the UAB Gospel Choir are available on youtube and vimeo. Its recordings are available online at iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play and on campus at Barnes & Noble at UAB. The choir is multi-dimensional and incorporates steppers, mimes, orators and dance into its performances. Registration is required to participate. Directed by Reginald Jackson, Ph.D.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Department of Music, in the College of Arts and Sciences, presents recitals and concerts each fall and spring semester. Most of the performances are free and open to the public, and held in the Hulsey Center for the Arts’ Mary Culp Hulsey Recital Hall and UAB’s Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center. Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to Red Mountain Park for all the nice or naughty 😉 and girls! Come to Remy's Dog Park anytime between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 29th, to get your pet’s photo with Santa & Mrs. Claus. Pets and their humans are welcome to be in the photos. You don't even need a pet to get your photo taken with Santa. All are welcome!

Check in with a Jefferson County Greenways staff member at the dog park entrance and receive a number to designate the order for your photograph. No registration is required. We ho-ho-hope to see you there!

This event is free for Jefferson County Greenways members and a suggested donation of $10 for non-members. A professional photographer will be taking the photos. You will be emailed your photos the week after they are taken.
